System for precise dynamic measurement of bridge sensors
Čech, Jonáš ; Kolka, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of measurement system for dynamic measurement of bridge sensors. After a short theoretical part, the own concept is introduced. System can provide sampling rate up to 250 kSa/s with 24-bit resolution. The maximum number of samples is about one and a half milion. At first, the design of analog part was made, in this phase of design the digital part is based on evaluation board with ARM Cortex-M7 and external memory. After final choice of appropriate ICs, the analog and digital part will be integrated into one PCB.
The GPU-Based Acceleration of the Genetic Algorithm
Pospíchal, Petr ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis represents master's thesis focused on acceleration of Genetic algorithms using GPU. First chapter deeply analyses Genetic algorithms and corresponding topics like population, chromosome, crossover, mutation and selection. Next part of the thesis shows GPU abilities for unified computing using both DirectX/OpenGL with Cg and specialized GPGPU libraries like CUDA. The fourth chapter focuses on design of GPU implementation using CUDA, coarse-grained and fine-grained GAs are discussed, and completed by sorting and random number generation task accelerated by GPU. Next chapter covers implementation details -- migration, crossover and selection schemes mapped on CUDA software model. All GA elements and quality of GPU results are described in the last chapter.
Production, characterization and application of polymers of malic and glutamic acids
Čangelová, Katarína ; Kučera, Dan (referee) ; Obruča, Stanislav (advisor)
Subject of this bachelor thesis was study of biopolymers production using microorganisms. Polymer of malic acid was produced by Aureobasidium pullulans, a yeast-like fungus. Biosynthesis of polymer of glutamic acid was carried out by Bacillus licheniformis bacterium. Particular polymers, their microbial producers and possible application in different areas are characterised in the theoretical part of the thesis. Through experiments, the effect of various conditions on cell growth and production of these polymers was studied. Cultivation conditions were optimised in terms of polymers production. Subsequently, waste substrates - whey and poultry feathers were used. Microbially-produced polymer of malic acid was hydrolysed with 2 M sulfuric acid. Concentration of malic acid was analysed by IEC with a conductivity detector. Concentration of polymer of glutamic acid was determined by a spectrophotometric method using CTAB.
New ways in Packaging
Hřešil, Tomáš ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
This project deals with the creating a base of manual for modern electronic packages, which are more and more used in today's electronic circuits and devices. The modern packages are mentioned small outline DIL, QFP, BGA, PGA, CSP, Flip chip. The work is also including packages known SiP (System in Package) that are consisting or use the combinations of packages BGA, PGA, CSP and Flip Chip. At the end of the work are short described the most important design rules for assembly of mentioned packages on substrate (PCB).
Body composition of elite golfers
Špůr, Ondřej ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Title: Selected performance indicators of professional golf players. Objectives: The aim is to identify and describe the functional characteristics of elite golf players on the selected parameters of a body composition, a postural stability and a grip strength. Methods: The theoretical part has been processed on the basis of literature search. Participants were professional golf players and coaches (n = 36). Parameters of body composition were measured by the In Body 3.0 and the Datainput BIA 2000, the postural stability was measured by the pressure plate Footscan and the grip strength was measured by the hand dynamometer T.K.K. 5401. Results: In selected parameters of body composition and postural stability achieve elite golfer's good results. Especially in the parameters body mass index (BMI) and % fat came good to excellent results. The grip strength of hand located below on the "grip" is larger than the strength of hand located above on the "grip". The relation between game performance (level of HCP) and selected parameters was not confirmed. Only a slight relation between the HCP and the handgrip strength of hand based above on the "grip" were found. Keywords: Golf, performance, body composition, postural stability, grip strength.
